At ConServe, our mission is to create a world where every community can breathe clean air, drink safe water, and thrive in a healthy environment. Our projects fall under two main pillars: Health and Environment.
The Health pillar centers on ensuring that everyone, especially those in underserved communities, has access to the essentials for a healthy life.
Through our "Particulate Matter" initiative, we deploy low-cost air quality monitoring sensors in Title 1 schools that lack access to environmental data. By making pollution visible, we empower communities to advocate for cleaner air and hold polluters accountable. These sensors also help local leaders and policymakers take targeted actions to reduce emissions and protect public health.
Through our "Water for Life" initiative, ConServe raises funds to build sustainable wells and water systems in rural and impoverished areas in China. Every $25 raised guarantees one person clean water for life. Our work has already provided 30 people with lifetime access to clean water—improving health outcomes, reducing disease, and fostering long-term community resilience.
The Environment pillar focuses on protecting ecosystems and reforming the industries that harm them. One of our primary efforts centers on agricultural justice; helping to ensure that the food we eat doesn't come at the expense of human health or the planet.
ConServe works alongside organizations like CORA (Coalition for Organic Responsible Agriculture) to end the use of toxic pesticides in large-scale farming. Based in California's Pajaro Valley, CORA collaborates closely with Latino farmworker communities to protect both workers and nearby students from pesticide exposure.
Pesticides used by industrial farms have been linked to serious health problems including reproductive issues, neurological disorders, and cancers. Even children who attend schools near these farms have developed leukemia and learning disabilities due to chemical drift.
Together with CORA, we are advocating for Driscoll's and other major growers to transition to organic farming practices, starting with farms near schools.
